Electric heating and cooling solutions for industry

Who we are

Leader in electric heating and cooling solutions for industry

Over 50 years of expertise

Since 1973, the Vulcanic Group has been designing and manufacturing electric heating and cooling solutions for industry.

With 750 employees and 10 plants, Vulcanic serves 30,000 customers in 100 countries worldwide.

The Group offers a wide range of solutions for industrial heating and cooling (liquids, gases and solids), including temperature measurement and control, and power supply.

Vulcanic is certified ISO 9001 version 2015.

In October 2022, Vulcanic became part of the ETS (Electric Thermal Solutions) branch of the Spirax-Sarco Engineering group, with the aim of developing heating solutions that promote the decarbonization of industrial processes and thus support sustainable development.

A customer-focused mission

Our aim is to create value for all our stakeholders while contributing to a more efficient, safer and more sustainable world. We focus on six key areas: commercial excellence, operational excellence, digitalization at the customer's service, services throughout the product lifecycle, decarbonization of thermal energy, and an agile, high-performance organization.

Vulcanic's vision

As a recognized world leader in the optimization of critical thermal energy processes and fluid technologies, we are in constant contact with our customers, very attentive to their evolving needs, providing solutions that address our customers' problems, while enabling the transition to a low-carbon, resource-efficient world.

The Vulcanic story

1931 - Nickel Metallurgy or Metanic

In 1948, Métanic was the first company in France to design shielded tubular heating elements (under license from BAKER). This technical lead, which was constantly maintained, enabled Métanic to become the only manufacturer in the 20th century able to compete with American companies in the supply of highly specialized shielded heating elements for nuclear reactors.

1954 - Vulcan

Vulcain was the first French manufacturer to offer a complete range of standardized equipment meeting all the classic needs of electrothermics, while guaranteeing stock availability for delivery within 48 hours.

1973 - Birth of VULCANIC

In 1973, Vulcain acquired Métanic (Métallurgie du Nickel). Combining their respective expertise and know-how, they founded VULCANICwhich quickly became a leader in the field of industrial electrothermics. Over the decades, the company has continued to grow, constantly renewing and consolidating its partnerships with major companies.

1990 - Expansion of VULCANIC

Since the 90s, VULCANIC has grown steadily, acquiring companies in France and abroad (Belgium, Spain, Australia, USA), both in the electrothermal field and in complementary sectors such as pyrometry and measurement transformation.

2022 - VULCANIC joins Spirax-Sarco Engineering

In 2022, Vulcanic joined the ETS (Electric Thermal Solutions) branch of the Spirax-Sarco Engineering group. This acquisition enables Vulcanic to strengthen its expertise in electric heating solutions for industry, while accelerating its commitment to the decarbonization of industrial processes. Integrating Spirax-Sarco offers Vulcanic new opportunities to develop innovative solutions and support sustainable development on a global scale.
