Electric heating and cooling solutions for industry

About Us

Leader in electric heating and cooling solutions for industry

Over 50 years of expertise

Since 1973, the Vulcanic Group has been designing and manufacturing electric heating and cooling solutions for industrial applications.

With 750 employees and 10 factories, Vulcanic serves 30,000 customers in 100 countries around the world.

The Group offers a wide range of solutions for industrial heating and cooling (liquids, gases and solids), including temperature measurement and control, and power supply.

Vulcanic is ISO 9001:2015 certified.

In October 2022, Vulcanic joined the ETS (Electric Thermal Solutions) division of the Spirax Group, with the goal of developing heating solutions that promote the decarbonization of industrial processes and thereby support sustainable development.

A customer-focused mission

Our aim is to create value for all our stakeholders while contributing to a more efficient, safer and more sustainable world. We focus on six key areas: commercial excellence, operational excellence, digitalization at the customer's service, services throughout the product lifecycle, decarbonization of thermal energy, and an agile, high-performance organization.

The vision of Vulcanic

As a recognized world leader in the optimization of critical thermal energy processes and fluid technologies, we are in constant contact with our customers, very attentive to their evolving needs, providing solutions that address our customers' problems, while enabling the transition to a low-carbon, resource-efficient world.

The story of Vulcanic

1931 - Nickel Metallurgy or Metanic

In 1948, Métanic was the first company in France to design shielded tubular heating elements (under license from BAKER). This technical lead, which was constantly maintained, enabled Métanic to become the only manufacturer in the 20th century able to compete with American companies in the supply of highly specialized shielded heating elements for nuclear reactors.

1954 - Vulcan

Vulcain was the first French manufacturer to offer a complete range of standardized equipment meeting all the classic needs of electrothermics, while guaranteeing stock availability for delivery within 48 hours.

1973 – Birth of VULCANIC

In 1973, Vulcain acquired Métanic (Métallurgie du Nickel). By combining their respective expertise and know-how, they founded VULCANIC, which quickly became a leader in the field of industrial electrothermal technology. Over the decades, the company has continued to grow, constantly reinventing itself while strengthening its partnerships with major corporations.

1990 – Expansion of VULCANIC

Since the 1990s, VULCANIC has continued to grow by acquiring companies in France and internationally (Belgium, Spain, Australia, and the U.S.), in the field of electrothermal technology or in complementary sectors such as pyrometry and measurement processing.

2022 – VULCANIC joins the Spirax Group

In 2022, Vulcanic joined the ETS (Electric Thermal Solutions) division of the Spirax Group. This acquisition enables Vulcanic to strengthen its expertise in electric heating solutions for industry, while accelerating its commitment to decarbonizing industrial processes. Becoming part of the Spirax Group offers Vulcanic new opportunities to develop innovative solutions and support sustainable development on a global scale.
