Vulcanic Benelux is committed to the local community, and took part in the International Day of Volunteers, visiting patients at the NOTTEBOHM Care Center in Antwerp.
During the day, our Belgian colleague Johanna Massa, who was behind the initiative, kept elderly residents company in their quest for exchanges, listening and conviviality. Johanna discovered the workshop where residents knit dolls which are sold at a symbolic price, with the proceeds going to support the homeless.
This type of volunteer action, supported and inspired by our SPIRAX SARCO shareholder, enables each and every one of us volunteers to strengthen our empathy with populations in moral, health or material difficulty, as well as our ability to understand and listen to others in an exchange of "give and take". Well done to Johanna MASSA for this magnificent initiative, which encourages us to think positively at the end of the year.
