Vulcanic Benelux is committed to supporting local communities and, as part of International Volunteer Day, visited patients at the NOTTEBOHM Care Center in Antwerp.

On this day, our Belgian colleague Johanna Massa, who spearheaded this initiative, spent time with elderly residents seeking conversation, a listening ear, and companionship. Johanna discovered the workshop where residents knit dolls that are sold for a nominal fee, with the proceeds going to support the homeless.

This type of volunteer work, supported and inspired by our shareholder SPIRAX SARCO, allows each of us volunteers to deepen our empathy toward people facing emotional, health, or financial hardships, as well as our ability to understand and listen to others in a spirit of “give and take.” Congratulations to Johanna MASSA for this wonderful initiative, which fosters a very positive outlook as the year comes to a close.
