CALCULATION OF POWER, VOLTAGE, CURRENT AND OHMIC VALUE
DEPENDING ON THE COUPLING MODE OF THE RESISTORS

This tool offers the different possible coupling modes of electric heating elements. These coupling modes depend on the number of phases, single-phase or three-phase and on the number of the resistors of the heating device (immersion heater, duct heater, etc.).

3 Calculation options are available to help you determine the values of power, voltage, ohmic value and current of the unit resistances or of the whole device.

A single-phase voltage system consists of 1 phase and one neutral. It is most often found in homes, offices, for powering low-power devices. Single-phase voltage varies from country to country, from 100 to 127 V (USA / Japan) to 200/240 V (Europe).

A three-phase voltage system consists of 3 phases with or without neutral. It is mainly used in industry for supplying high power machines and devices. Three-phase voltage varies from country to country, most often 380 to 400 V.
