Electric industrial heaters are designed to heat or maintain the temperature of industrial premises, technical enclosures, containers, electrical cabinets and so on.
They are widely used in various sectors (marine, automotive, agri-food...), to keep storage areas frost-free, prevent condensation in control cabinets, or keep products at temperature before use (paint, oil...).
The radiator works on the principle of natural convection. Air in contact with the heating elements becomes lighter and rises, while cold air descends to be heated in turn. This movement creates a natural air circulation that spreads heat gently, progressively and silently.
The unit can be floor-mounted or wall-mounted using optional wall brackets, but always in a horizontal position.
It consists of one or more shielded electrical resistors (bare or finned), a steel or stainless steel casing and a protective cover for the electrical connections.
The radiator can be fitted with a built-in thermostat, adjustable from 0 to 50°C, connected to the power supply for independent temperature control.
Robust and waterproof up to IP66 depending on the model, it can be installed in demanding industrial environments such as the nuclear or maritime sectors.
Vulcanic offers ATEX and IECEx certified equipment for heating in potentially explosive atmospheres (gas or dust).
Industrial radiators are used in a wide range of applications. Here are just a few examples:
Use of stainless steel heaters to maintain a stable temperature in the fermentation chambers during yogurt production.
Keeping soda ash in storage areas at a temperature above 20°C to prevent crystallization and guarantee its fluidity.
Installation of industrial heaters in containers to keep sensitive products frost-free during transport by sea.
Prevents condensation in electrical cabinets by maintaining a slightly higher temperature than the ambient air. This prevents moisture build-up and protects electronic components.
Industrial radiators are made up of :
Make sure there are no obstacles in the way of the radiator's natural ventilation: DO NOT COVER
Industrial radiators must not be installed in public or residential areas.
The radiator must be installed in a horizontal position.
Ground terminal must be connected.
Please refer to the instruction manual for all recommendations relating to the equipment.
