ISO OR BSP SCREW PLUG IMMERSION HEATERS, ATEX OR IECEX CERTIFIED

ATEX certified according to Directive 2014/34/EU or IECEx certified, for installation in an explosive atmosphere (risk zone 1 and 2) and for a temperature class T1 to T6.

ATEX/IECEx certified screw plug immersion heaters are designed for the heating of non-hazardous fluids, liquids (water, oil, heavy fuel, glycol, acids, caustic soda, asphalt, etc.) or gases (air, nitrogen, CO2) by natural or forced convection up to 50 kW, 750 V 3-ph, 400 °C, 50 bar.

Horizontal or vertical mounting on the vessels for static fluids or inside vessels for fluid circulation heaters.

Vulcanic ATEX/IECEx certified screw plug immersion heaters comprise a very compact bundle of pin heating elements available in several materials compatible with the fluids to be heated (steel, stainless steel, Incoloy®,etc.).

The heating elements are brazed or welded onto a threaded plug conforming to the metric ISO standard (M45x200 and M77x200) or BSPP standard (1″1/2 up to 2″1/2).

ATEX/IECEx certified screw plug immersion heaters are equipped with safety devices (thermostats, fusible sensors, thermocouples, etc.) for the measurement of the temperature in the fluid or on the heating elements and optionnally, a control device.

An electrical control and power supply unit with protection mode ”e”, ”d” or ”de”, in painted steel, cast iron, aluminium or stainless steel, protects the connections from the heating elements to the power supply and from the control and safety devices to the power cabinet.

Vulcanic ATEX/IECEx certified screw plug immersion heaters are designed and manufactured as part of our standard range or as customised solution in our factory in St Florentin for installation on vessels conforming to European directive 2014/68/EU (PED).
